The partnership of Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini began in 1968. Since then they have designed over 340 products which are regularly manufactured and sold in large quantities. In chair design Lucci-Orlandini's score is a total production of more than 3,500,000. Among their designs, there are many masterpieces for famous global office furniture corporations such as Mascagni, Narbutas, Ora-acciaio, Knoll, Biesse, Calligaris, Lamm-Thonet USA, Versteel etc.

Both Lucci and Orlandini have lectured on design in many universitied in Australia,Belgium,Brazil,Colombia,Italy,New Zealand,Switzerland,U.S.A. Their designs are in the design collection of the Museum Of Modern Art,New York; at the Centre National D'art Contemporain of the Louvre,Paris; at the Museum Of Contemporary Art; Chicago and have been exhibited at the Milano Triennale; at the Museum Of Art And Industry In Hamburg; at the Grand Palais in Paris; at the La Jolla Museum Of Contemporary Art;California; at the Chicago Athenaeum.
